Good-bye, Dubai tells the story of my 105 days as a prisoner in the Prosecutor's and Interpol jails in Dubai, based on my handwritten diary.   In my diary, which the authorities in Dubai were kind enough to allow me to keep, I outline all the manifest problems of the Dubai political system and judicial system, as well the corruption on the part of Dubai Police.  And, of course, the frustration I experienced trying to extricate myself from a totally impossible situation without paying the one-half million Euro bribe that the police asked me for on my first night as a guest in their jail. 

Good-bye, Dubai is a study in how to survive in the most impossible of circumstances without losing one's mind and to come out of those circumstances still retaining most of one's sanity.
